Hey Islanders Fans,
How's your day going?? Well hopefully it's going really good! This week was another great week to be an ISLANDER. We had some tough workouts this past week but nothing us Islanders can't handle!
First off I want to tell you guys that my husband bought us a PUPPY for our anniversary!!! He is an English bulldog, he is two months old and his name is SIR BOSTON JONES! I love him so much! He is the cutest thing and he is so friendly! He has one blue eye and one brown eye! I have been spending most of my free time taking care of him because he is like a baby! Anyway, it's all fun so far, being a momma with a puppy isn't too bad! Ha!
According to Coach Flanagan this week, "was a tough week, but we all survived it and did well." There is always room for improvement … that is what our sport is all about … always getting better and striving to be better. We ended our week with a long run yesterday at the beach! It was awesome! And then we took some pictures afterwards. So far our team is getting closer and closer each day. This coming week I'm going to get a mani and pedi with my sister! It's going to be GOBBS OF FUN! Hey guys in case you don't find this interesting it is to the ladies! I'm also thinking of doing something new to my hair, but that will be a surprise!
OH by the way our next meet is at Rice University, this weekend actually, and we will have a lot of competition but hopefully it goes well just like practice has. It's our first time actually staying the night somewhere, so I am sure I will have lots to talk about! I am looking forward to this meet! It's going to be a test to see where we are all at. I am excited to tell you guys all about it.
Most of the girls got to meet Sir Boston this week and he got really excited and they all loved him. We want to buy him a skateboard because we saw videos of English Bulldogs skateboarding. Haha! Anyways, I haven't asked all the girls how their classes are coming along but some that I have talked to have said they seem easy right now but the busy work will eventually add on.
On our run Sunday morning we witnessed a beautiful sunrise, and it got me thinking about how lucky we all are to be able to see the beauties that are brought into this earth, but we can be taken away from that any second. We should live every moment like it was our last, and take chances that we are curious about. So, I'm going to leave you with this one final thought.
Today, I ask that you encourage someone, tell them, "GOOD JOB," or "HAVE A GREAT DAY." Open a door for a stranger! I want you to STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. Enjoy the life you're living by making someone else's life happy. I enjoy writing these blogs, but I want them to help you, just as much as they have helped me. Do something different, because we Islanders are here to make a difference! So other than that, "keep your Islander pride and don't forget to stride," with yours truly!
