Top Performance #4: Micah Nolan Sets School-Record 39 Digs Against Nicholls

Top Performance #4: Micah Nolan Sets School-Record 39 Digs Against Nicholls

On the evening of Oct. 13, Micah Nolan not only helped her team to victory over Nicholls State but she also marked her name in the Islanders record books.

The night was the annual "Dig Pink" match in front of a season-high 1,237 fans including the most students ever at a match. Nolan certainly represented the "Dig Pink" name proud as she produced a school-record 39 digs against the Colonels.

Nolan moved into the Southland Conference lead for total digs.

The 5'6 junior from Amarillo, Texas played in all 33 matches during the season and tallied a team-high of 620 digs to record her name into the books as the all-time leader for most digs in a single season. Nolan averaged 4.81 digs per set and also recorded 40 total attacks with 27 during conference play.

The junior also posted 32 service aces placing her at 10th all-time for service aces in a single season. She surpassed the 20-dig mark 12 times during the entire season.
