The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi volleyball program will be hosting its first-ever spring tournament on Saturday, April 2 at the Dugan Wellness Center. The Islanders Spring Invite will feature the host team as well as Sam Houston State, Incarnate Word, Temple College and a team of alumni.
Each team will play four matches during the day with three sessions in the morning before lunch and two more in the afternoon. Texas A&M - Corpus Christi will play Temple at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will take a break before playing the alumni in an 11:30 a.m. match.
Following lunch from 12:45-1:15 p.m., they will take to the court once again to face Sam Houston at 1:30 p.m. and will finish out the day with a 2:45 p.m. match against Incarnate Word.
The matches will be played on two courts in the main gym with matches going on simultaneously on both courts. The format will be best two-of-three games with the first to 25 taking the win. The third set, if necessary, will be the first to 15 points.
Admission is free to any fans wishing to attend.
