The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team will play host to Northwestern State this Saturday as both teams look for their first Southland win of the season. Match time is set for a 4 PM start.

The Islanders come into the match with a record of 7-16 overall and 0-8 in Southland matches. The Lady Demons are 1-16 on the season and 0-9 in Southland action.

"We have to follow the same process, get ourselves ready to play, execute a game plan and win points when we get a chance to," said head coach Tony Graystone. "Northwestern State will compete hard and are looking for the same thing we are.

"I expect the game to be really competitive."

It will be the second match for the Islanders in the Dugan Wellness Center and by all accounts, the facility is one of the finest in the conference. The Central Arkansas coaching staff was thoroughly impressed on Thursday and Graystone is also a big fan of the new home court.

"Dugan is really a nice place to play and I like the whole setup of it," said Graystone. "It has a good feel to it and I'm really happy we're over there."

The match will be the last for the Islanders until the final two games of the season on Nov. 13-14 against UT Arlington and Texas State. All fans are encouraged to come out and cheer the Islanders on as they look to break into the win column for Southland Conference matches.
