The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team will be traveling to Lake Charles, Louisiana this weekend to play a match against the McNeese State Cowgirls. Match time is set for a 2 PM start at Memorial Gym on the campus of McNeese.

The Islanders are back on the road for the first time since Sept. 26 as they enjoyed a five match homestand at Moody Fieldhouse. It will be a single road match for the team as they return home next Thursday to begin play in the new Dugan Wellness Center.

"It was nice to be at home for awhile," said head coach Tony Graystone. "Now we have to go on the road, compete well and try to win a conference match."

TAMUCC comes into the match with a record of 7-14 overall and 0-6 in Southland Conference matches. The Cowgirls are 14-6 overall and 2-4 in Southland contests.

"We are looking to play well on the road and fight for everything we can," said Graystone. "McNeese is having a good season and they do certain things very well.

"Hopefully on our side we can do some things to cause them some trouble too."
