The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander volleyball team will host the McNeese State Cowgirls in a Southland Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Moody Fieldhouse.
The Islanders look to rebound from a tough stretch and face a McNeese team that has also started off slow in the conference race.
The Islanders sit in fifth place in the Western Division while McNeese is similarly in fifth place in the Eastern Divison.
The Islanders will be led by Lauren Paslay with 174 kills and Kasey McBrearty with 154 kills while the Cowgirls leading attackers are Chanel Tyler with 187 kills and Alyson Jones with 176 kills.
Paslay is now the third all-time leader in kills for the Islanders with 830. She also has recently moved into the top five all-time in service aces, amassing 65 in her career, putting her in fifth all-time while needing only four more to move into fourth all-time.
Sophomore Molly McCabe has also made her way into the record books, totaling 1,311 assists to take on the third all-time lead spot in assists.
Match time between the Islanders and Cowgirls is set for 2 p.m. in Moody Fieldhouse and will be followed by the Islander Invasion basketball event.
