Women’s Tennis Set to Host Louisiana-Lafayette On Monday Afternoon
The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Women's Tennis team will play host to Louisiana-Lafayette on Monday afternoon, with the match scheduled for a 2 p.m. start at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center. Fans who cannot make it out to the match will be able to watch online at www.GoIslanders.com.
The Islanders (4-0) come into the match fresh off of a 6-1 win over Texas – Pan American on Feb. 7 at the Henry Tennis Center. ULL (1-2) picked up its first win of the year on Sunday with a 5-2 victory over the same UTPA Broncs squad.
Texas A&M – Corpus Christi has gotten off to a fast start, opening the year with a win over nationally ranked Houston before taking home wins over Central Arkansas in a Southland Conference match, Prairie View A&M on the road and the win against UTPA in the home opener.
ULL opens the year with six straight matches on the road, falling to Denver and Air Force before getting into the win column against the Broncs in their first three matches. After the Islanders, the Ragin' Cajuns will travel to Southland members Lamar and Stephen F. Austin before hosting their first home match.
