Women's tennis on the road at McNeese State for Southland Conference match
The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's tennis team will look to continue its hot streak with a Southland Conference road match in Lake Charles, La. against the McNeese State Cowgirls.
The Islanders are 7-2 overall, 4-1 in Southland Conference play and have won six-of-seven since their season-opening loss against the nationally-ranked Rice Owls. McNeese is 3-8 overall and have yet to win a league match with a 0-5 record.
The two teams will meet at 2 p.m. on Saturday as Texas A&M - Corpus Christi looks to tie the school record with their fifth league victory of the season. The Islanders were 5-6 last year in their best season ever since joining the conference.
They will have little time to recover as they travel to Beaumont on Sunday for a 2 p.m. match against the Lamar Lady Cardinals.
