Women's Tennis looks to continue unbeaten start in Southland Conference

The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's tennis team will look to improve on its unbeaten start to Southland Conference play on Tuesday when they play the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions at a neutral site. Match time is set for 2 p.m. in Houston.

The Islanders are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. They are on a four-match winning streak after dropping their opener to nationally-ranked Rice on the road. SELA is 4-2 on the year with a 1-0 record in conference matches.

Texas A&M - Corpus Christi will be led by junior captain Mirna Cicak. She is 3-0 on the season at No. 1 singles while teaming with doubles partner Stefania Nicolae for a 3-1 record in matches.

Sandra Burges sports a 3-0 record at No. 5 singles, Nicolae is 2-0 at the No. 4 position, Bianca Discordia is 2-0 at No. 3, Mia Matuszak is 3-0 at No. 6 and Doris Kuselj is 2-1 at the No. 2 position.

In the last match for the Islanders, they won 5-2 decision over Nicholls on Feb. 20 in Beaumont.
