CORPUS CHRISTI – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer program will host a 7-v-7 soccer tournament open to members of the Corpus Christi and University communities. Teams are guaranteed at least three games in the tournament, which is slated for Saturday, May 3, at the Dugan Family Soccer and Track Stadium.
The tournament, which serves as a fundraiser for the Islanders Soccer program, will feature two divisions, a men's division and a co-ed division. The cost per team is $225 for those registering before April 8 and $250 for those registering by April 29. Each roster will be capped at 12 players, with participants needing to be 18 or older.
The format will see each team playing six field players and a goalkeeper at a time. Teams that are part of the co-ed division must have at least two females on the field at all times. Adult spectators will be charged $2, while children 12 and under are admitted free.
