CORPUS CHRISTI – Assistant coaches Lauren Molinaro and Samantha Larson of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's soccer team have been selected as instructors at EXACT Soccer Camps in the state later this year. These camps are college soccer camps that are open to all high school players interested in competing at the next level.
"We feel that we have two of the top assistant coaches in the area, and we're thrilled that Sam and Money have been selected to instruct at the Exact Camps," head coach Shanna Caldwell said. "Some of the best soccer players in the state take part in these camps, and having Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer with a presence there is big for our program."
Larson will take part in the Dallas camp, scheduled for Dec. 22, while Molinaro is an instructor at the Houston camp, slated for Jan. 12.
These unique college soccer camps provide players with the opportunity to not only showcase individual field skills, but also their mental readiness. The Islanders' coaches will also join other top instructors from NCAA programs such as Sam Houston State, Northwood, Hardin-Simmons, Schriener, St. Mary's, Abilene Christian, Texas State, Texas Women's, Ranger, Richland, Midwestern State, and the University of Dallas.
During the camps, instructors will conduct small group clinic activity, observe players in showcasing their development potential, and lead one-on-one review sessions with each player.
Combined with the elite instruction of experience NCAA coaches, EXACT Sports also provides the mental training used across professional and college sports.
