White To Play in Four-Ball Championship
CORPUS CHRISTI -
Rising senior Ryann White will participate in the Women's Texas
Golf Association Four-Ball Championship this week. The Lubbock
native will be paired with her former Coronado High School Coach,
Marian Barker, for the amateur event.
The Four-Ball Championship starts Tuesday, June 28, at the
Blackhorse Golf Club's North Course in Cypress, Texas. In last
year's event, White and Barker tied for first at the event,
splitting the title with a duo that included incoming Islanders
transfer Taylor Slagle, a native of Southlake.
White was named Second Team All-Southland Conference in 2011 after
being one of the leaders in scoring average and top-10 finishes.
The sport management major was also named to the Southland Women's
Golf All-Academic Team for her performance both on the course and
in the classroom. She finished third at the Southland Championships
in April after posting a third-round 71, the only sub-par round by
any golfer in the tournament.
