The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi golf team returns to action on Monday, March 28, after three weeks off, as it takes part in the Fifth Annual UALR Women's Golf Classic. Arkansas-Little Rock will host the event at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark.
The event will span two days and three rounds at Diamante CC, with 36 holes played on Monday and the final 18 coming on Tuesday. The event features 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts on both days.
Nineteen teams will participate in the event, as the Islanders will be joined by host UALR in addition to Arkansas State, Ball State, Central Arkansas, Eastern Michigan, Florida International, Lamar, Louisiana Monroe, Middle Tennessee, UMKC, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, UTEP, UTPA, Troy, Western Michigan and Wichita State. Six of the 19 teams are currently ranked in Golfstat.com's top 100, led by Florida International at No. 41.
Most recently, the Islanders placed 14th among a strong field at the Rio Verde Invitational, with Ryann White (T-10th) and Nikki Dunn (T-12th) each finishing in the top 15. Just three days prior, Texas A&M - Corpus Christi finished fifth at the American Bank Islanders Classic, with White taking a fourth-place finish.
