Islanders set to close fall season at MSU/Payne Stewart Invitational

Texas A&M - Corpus Christi travels to Springfield, Mo. to finish the fall portion of their schedule. The Islanders are set to compete in the MSU/Payne Stewart Invitational at the Highland Spring Country Club.

This is the third straight week A&M - Corpus Christi is hitting the links after back-to-back tournaments in Oklahoma.

"We're still trying to find the right combination of players," said head coach Carol Blackmar "This tournament we're still working on developing our newcomers and younger players.

"As a team we want to find consistency and the ability to play 18 holes."

The team will be looking to finish the fall strong in Springfield against another strong field of competition. Coach Blackmar is also hoping for consistency in the final fall tournament.

Scheduled to compete are host Missouri State, Arkansas - Little Rock, Bradley, Central Arkansas, Creighton, Drake, Drury, Indiana State, Indianapolis, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, UMKC and UTEP.
