CORPUS CHRISTI – The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's basketball program is in the midst of hosting their first of two summer camps at the Dugan Wellness Center. The Islanders have 70 campers for Day Camp Session 1 which consists of girls in grades 3-8. The camp started today and continues through Thursday on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Under the instruction of Head Coach Royce Chadwick and his staff along with former and current Islanders, the campers are working on specific drills through challenges that tie into fundamental work. All week the campers will try and work toward being the best in their age group in a specific skill to receive an award at the end of the week.
There are still spots available for the Islanders Elite High School Day Camp on June 8-9. The camp will run from 1-5 p.m. and is geared for girls in grades 9-12. To register call Islanders Graduate Assistant Manager Latoya Thomas at (361) 825-3620 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
