CORPUS CHRISTI – Texas A&M – Corpus Christi head women's basketball coach Royce Chadwick will be speaking at the 60th Annual Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) Summer Clinic on Friday, July 13, at the Arlington Convention Center.
"I am honored and flattered to be chosen as a speaker for the Texas Girls Coaches Association Summer Clinic," Chadwick said. "Some of the nation's finest coaches attend this clinic each summer. It will be great to represent A&M - Corpus Christi to our state's coaches."
Chadwick will hold two lectures, one on defense and the other on offense. The first topic will be from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and will cover full-court, 3/4-court and 1/2-court defense. Following that, Chadwick will discuss press offense, early offense and transition offense from 10:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
"We are so pleased for our association to have a coach the caliber of Royce back in our great state," Executive Director for the Texas Girls Coaches Association Sam Tipton said. "It's a golden opportunity for him to reacquaint himself with all of our coaches. Every level he has been at, he is a perfect example for a young high school coach to see where you can start and where you can end up. We are thrilled to death that he is going to be at our clinic and that he is back in the great state of Texas in Corpus Christi."
The TGCA Summer Clinic will be held July 9 - 13 in Arlington.
