What’s Done is Dunn: Vol. 2, Issue 4

Islander Fans,

How's it going? Well it's been a long travel week for your Islanders as we traveled to Texas State on Tuesday and then to the Nac on Friday to face SFA. Good thing our next two games are at home. Hope to see you there!

On Friday we had practice in the morning at 8:30 a.m. instead of waiting until we arrived in the Nac later. After practice everyone had some time to leave and take a shower before we left at 11 a.m. for the six hour bus ride! It seemed like it took forever to get there because we were stuck in traffic in Houston for about 30 min. lol. But while we were on the bus we watched the movies, "Bridesmaids" and "The Other Guys." I think "The Other Guys" was a cop movie but I really don't know seeing as though I was asleep before we left Corpus lol! I was sleepy!

We arrived in the Nac at around 6 p.m. and I was able to lay down and relax for the first time after a bus ride. We had pizza from Papa John's that night! You would've thought we hadn't eaten in days the way we were complaining about how hungry we were. EVEN I WAS HUNGRY (can you believe it lol). We also had a little film session at 7:15 p.m. before we all went off to our rooms and did our own little thing before the pizza came, but me, I was working on my Physiiiics quiz. Grant it I got a 90 on it, but I still didn't wanna do it while we were on the road lol.

We headed to shoot around at 9:30 a.m. to prepare for the game at 6 p.m. After shoot around we went out to eat, but I really don't know what I ate lol but it was good! All I know is, it was a sirloin...but after that I don't know.

#GameTime

We had a really good first half of the game, going up by as much as 14. Going into half we were only up by 1. I don't know what happened after halftime, but things went sour, and we ended up losing 69-57. That was the longest bus ride back to Corpus I have had in my whole career here!

But we are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 1, against Nicholls State at the American Bank Center at 7 p.m. Come out and support your Islanders! We need you in those seats cheering us on as we begin finishing up the first round of the West Division of conference play. If we haven't said it yet, on behalf of your women's basketball team, we thank each and every one of you all for coming out and supporting us in our season thus far! We hope you will continue to be a part of Islanders Athletics for the rest of the school year! Thank You!

*Fun Fact - No. 2: Marquesha Anderson-Sparks' (Q) desire is to be a dancer!!!! She can actually dance too lol J

Well catch you all in about a week or so when we head out to Huntsville on Feb. 11, to play Sam Houston State again.
