Women's basketball hosts Central Arkansas on Senior Night
The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's basketball team will be playing its final game of the season on Saturday night when they host the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears. The game will tipoff at 7 p.m. on Stripes Court at the American Bank Center with the Islanders seniors being recognized before the game.
The team is now 2-26 on the year with a 0-15 Southland Conference record. The Sugar Bears are 18-10 overall and sit at 10-5 in the league.
Senior Adrienne Scott is leading the team with a 13.6 scoring average while pulling in 7.5 boards a game. Fellow senior Anitra Jeffery is tops on the team in rebounding at 9.1 a contest and is also second in scoring at an identical mark of 9.1 points per game.
The Sugar Bears are led by Megan Herbert who is scoring 18.0 points a game and is also tops on the team with 11.4 rebounds per game. Sidney Martin is second on the team at 11.7 a night while Nakeia Guiden is also averaging double digits with her 10.6 per game average.
Before the game, Texas A&M - Corpus Christi will be honoring five seniors as Adrienne Scott, Anitra Jeffery, Jade Davis and Lauren Smith will be recognized, along with senior manager Brandon Mims.
