Women's basketball travels to Stephen F. Austin for Southland Conference tilt

The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's basketball team will take on the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks in a Southland Conference matchup Saturday night, tipping off at 6 p.m. in the Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches.

The Islanders are 2-24 on the season with a 0-13 conference record. SFA comes into the contest at 10-16 overall, but are above .500 with a 7-6 league record.

Last time out, Texas A&M - Corpus Christi lost a 93-62 game to UTSA. Taryn Gregory led the team in scoring with 17 points off the bench. Ashley Darley added 13 points while Jessica Jammer and Adrienne Scott scored 10 apiece. Scott also added 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Scott is leading the team in scoring with 13.8 points per game this season and is the only Islanders player averaging double-digit scoring. Darley is second at 8.7 points a night while Anitra Jeffery is adding 8.2 a game. Jeffery leads the team with 8.8 rebounds every time out while Scott is second at 7.9 per game.

Tammara Marion leads the Ladyjacks with 15.5 points per game while Jordan Ford is second at 10.2 a night. Ford is tops on the team in rebounding, averaging 5.6 boards while Decreasha Goodner is close behind at 5.1 per contest.
