The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team will face Stephen F. Austin on Stripes Court in a battle of two second-place teams looking to stay in the Southland Conference Championship hunt. The two teams will meet at 7 PM on Saturday night at the American Bank Center.

The Islanders are 18-8 on the season and 10-3 in Southland Conference contests. The Ladyjacks are 15-9 overall and also sit at 10-3 in Southland Conference games.

Last time out for TAMUCC saw them beat the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions by a 75-67 final on the road. The Ladyjacks beat Texas State by a final of 95-83 on their home court in Nacogdoches.

Jade Davis is leading the Islanders in scoring this season at 14.0 points per game this season. Adrienne Scott is scoring 10.9 points per game as the only other Islander averaging double digits. Elisa Beagle continues to lead the team with 8.2 rebounds per game.

Whitney Cormier leads the Ladyjacks with 15.4 points per game. She is followed by Tammara Marion at 10.8 a contest. Antoinette Davis leads the team with 7.0 rebounds per game.
