The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team will look to get back on the winning track this Saturday when they host the UTSA Roadrunners at the Dugan Wellness Center. The game is slated for a 2 PM tip-off.

The Islanders are coming off a 69-63 road loss against Lamar in Beaumont on Wednesday night, their first Southland loss of the season. They are now 11-6 overall and 3-1 in SLC games. UTSA comes into the game with just a 9-7 overall record but a perfect 3-0 record in the Southland.

Jade Davis comes into the game as the leading scorer for TAMUCC, averaging 13.8 points per game. Adrienne Scott is second on the team at 12.2 per game and Shaye Montgomery also averages double-digits at 10.1 per contest. Elisa Beagle is tops on the team with 8.6 rebounds per game while Deziree Green is second at 6.4 per game.

The Roadrunners will look to Whitney York and Ashleigh Franklin to carry the load. York is averaging 13.8 points per game to lead the team while Franklin is close behind at 12.0 a game. Guard Amber Gregg leads the team with 32 made three-point shots.

The all-time series is knotted at 5-5 with TAMUCC winning the first five and UTSA winning the last five. The most recent meeting was a 72-54 Roadrunner victory in Corpus Christi. The last Islander win came on Jan. 27, 2007 by a 71-69 score.
