ISLANDERS HOPE TO CONTINUE WINNING WAYS AGAINST COLORADO STATE

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team will look to continue their winning streak when they take on Colorado State this Wednesday afternoon at the American Bank Center. The Islanders and Rams will tip-off at 2 PM on Stripes Court in the final contest before the New Year.

Coming off the programs first win over Houston, an 81-76 contest that saw the Islanders control the second half and coast to the victory behind a 15-point and 17-rebound game from senior Elisa Beagle. Beagle set a new career-high in rebounds, breaking her previous best of 16 while also tying the school record of 20 double-doubles in a career, matching the mark set by Terra Andrews.

Adrienne Scott leads the team in scoring at 12.1 points per game while Jade Davis is right behind her at 11.9 points per contest. Beagles' performance moved her into the rebounding lead at 8.3 per game, overtaking Deziree Green who averages 7.4 per game and had been leading the team.

Colorado State comes into the game at 7-4 and with the last game being a 65-56 loss to in-state rival Northern Colorado. They defeated Southland opponent Texas State earlier and the season and the biggest win for the Rams came against Big XII member Colorado at home.
