The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team will look to win back-to-back home games on Wednesday as they host the Lamar Lady Cardinals in a Southland Conference tilt at the American Bank Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 PM.

The Islanders come into the game fresh off their first home game in nearly two months, a 61-52 victory over the Northwestern State Lady Demons this past Saturday.

The victory brought the Islanders to 6-9 on the season, 2-1 in SLC play. Guard Jade Davis led the Islanders with 18 points in the game, bringing her season average to 13.2 points per game and 16 ppg in only SLC games. The 16 point average in SLC games in second highest in the conference.

Myeisha Myles leads the Islanders in rebounding with 7 rpg on the season while Adrienne Scott has come on strong in conference play, averaging 11 points and nine rebounds per game.

The Cardinals are 11-5 overall and 2-1 in SLC play. They are led by Nikki Williams with 14.3 points per game and a 17.3 average in SLC games only. Williams leads the conference in scoring in SLC games, just ahead of the Islanders Davis.

The Islanders look to pick up another home win before hitting the road again on Saturday when they travel to San Antonio to take on UTSA in a 2 PM game.
