The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team hits the road once again this week to take on the SMU Mustangs in Dallas, looking to improve on their early season 2-4 record.
The Islanders just returned home from the Aggie Hotel Encanto Thanksgiving Classic where they split a pair of games during the holiday break.
TAMUCC beat Western New Mexico on Friday, Nov. 28 by an 88-60 score and lost to host school New Mexico State by a 74-47 score on Nov. 29.
The game against SMU is on Dec. 2 and then the team gets a much needed rest until Dec. 13 at Texas Pan-American.
Myeisha Myles currently leads the Islanders in both scoring and rebounding with an 11.8 points per game average and a 7.5 rebounds per game average.
SMU holds a 2-1 series advantage over the Islanders, including a 74-70 victory last season at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.
