The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team travels to Austin to take on the #14-ranked University of Texas Longhorns on Thursday night in non-conference action.
Coming into the game, the Islanders hold a 1-1 record after opening the season with a loss to Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.
The Islanders followed the season-opening loss up with a 56-51 victory over Texas Southern this past Monday night at the American Bank Center.
In that game, Myeisha Myles had a career-high 19 points and nine rebounds. Her previous career-high had been both four points and four rebounds.
The Longhorns come into the game with an unblemished record early in the season, having recorded three wins in as many days during the World Vision Classic tournament hosted by the Longhorns.
The three Texas wins have come against Dayton, St. Mary's (Calif.) and against #25 Old Dominion.
The game will be the fifth in the series between the two teams, with Texas holding a 4-0 advantage over the Islanders. The last meeting between the two teams was on Dec. 8, 2007 in Corpus Christi, with the Islanders falling by an 81-41 score.
After taking on the Longhorns in Austin, the Islanders return home for a home game on Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. in the American Bank Center.
