CORPUS CHRISTI – Tickets for the upcoming Islanders Softball season are now on sale. This season, the tickets are flexible and will allow fans to utilize their tickets for all games located at Chapman Field. This means fans who can't attend a game are welcome to use those tickets at another Islanders' home game. The flexibility of the season tickets are more conducive to our fans' schedules.
Adult season tickets are $40 while youth 16 and under, seniors 60 and over, active military personnel, along with Texas A&M - Corpus Christi faculty and staff are $25.
The Islanders will open the season with a challenging non-conference schedule with four tournaments on the road totaling 21 games. The squad will start the season in San Marcos, Texas, in the three-day CenturyLink Classic on Feb. 7 through Feb. 9. The Islanders will compete against the likes of Southland foe Stephen F. Austin, Ball State, Southern Illinois and host Texas State.
The first chance for Islanders' fans to watch the team live at Chapman Field will be on Friday, March 7, when they host Central Arkansas in a doubleheader to open Southland Conference play. The Islanders finished the 2012-13 season with an 11-39 record under head coach Stephanie Hughes. This season, Hughes and her staff return 12 letterwinners from a year ago and welcome seven newcomers along with the addition of Assistant Coach Keith Stein.
Tickets can be purchased online HERE or by calling 825-BALL (2255).
