Ciao Islanders!!

Things are getting exciting over here!! After our loss against Chinese Taipei (2-9) on Sunday we came back and beat Mexico 6-0 on Monday! Three out of the six runs we scored were solo homers!! The most exciting game was this morning though. After our game against Japan got canceled last night because of the rain, we had to get up at 5:30 a.m. this morning and show up at the field at 8:30 a.m. (which reminded me of all the times this past season as an Islander we had to wake up that early and pull the tarp lol).

We showed up ready to play and stayed in the game till the extra innings!! Even though we lost with the score of 6-3 in the eighth inning this game showed us that we can play at the same level as any other team! (I don't think team Italy ever won against Japan but this time we were close enough). It was also really exciting to hear and see people in the stands cheering for us! This afternoon we will play against New Zealand and then we have Canada tomorrow. At this point we need to win every game in order to qualify for the next round. Fingers crossed, I know we can do it!!

Thanks for supporting us! Ciao!!

Greta
