CORPUS CHRISTI – Former Islanders pitcher and current Islanders pitching coach Sarah Pauly returned to the circle today in front of her hometown to pitch for her USSSA Pride National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) team. Pauly pitched in the first of two games today at Whataburger Field in the Hurricane Alley Waterpark Coastal Classic against the Akron Racers and clinched the 3-2 victory. The Pride fell behind early 2-0 in the first inning before adding one run in the second and two in the sixth to go ahead for good. The Islander standout fanned a total of six batters in seven innings of work.
