UTA scored a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the second after two Islanders errors and two UTA hits made it a 2-0 game in favor of the home team.
Texas A&M - Corpus Christi got an unearned run of their own in the top of the fourth when Caley Jeter led off with a single and stole second base. Two-straight outs had them down to their final out and Kacie Smith popped up to shallow right field, but an error by the right fielder allowed Jeter to come around to score and make it a 2-1 game.
UTA added a single run in the bottom of the sixth to extend it to a 3-1 advantage, one they would not relinquish as they set the Islanders down in order in the top of the seventh to take the doubleheader sweep.
Jeter and Cassie Redman had the only hits in the game for Texas A&M - Corpus Christi.
In the first game, the Islanders once again struggled offensively against the UT Arlington pitching staff.
