The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team will travel to San Marcos on Saturday to take on the defending Southland Conference Champion Texas State Bobcats in a three-game conference series. Game times have been rescheduled due to weather and the teams will now play a single game on Saturday starting at 5 PM and will play a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 12 PM.

The Islanders come into the series with an 18-8 overall record and a 5-4 Southland record after taking 2-of-3 from Nicholls last weekend. The Bobcats are 11-12 overall and 7-2 in conference play after taking 2-of-3 from McNeese State last weekend.

TAMUCC remains the top offensive club in the conference, leading the league in batting average (.316), slugging percentage (.479), on base percentage (.402), runs scored (143), hits (207) and RBI (126).

Hannah Schwarz leads the team with a .372 batting average and is sixth in the league in both batting average and on base percentage with a .456 mark. Caley Jeter leads TAMUCC with 19 RBI, good for fifth in the Southland on the year. Brittany Tucker is tied for fourth with five home runs while Margo Hurdt is right behind her with four on the year and tied for 10th in the conference.

Hurdt also leads the team with a 2.55 ERA and is 3-1 on the season. Elena Crabtree has been the top pitcher for the Islanders with a 2.96 ERA and a 10-3 record. Crabtree's 10 wins is tops in the conference.

The Bobcats hit .257 as a team but feature two pitchers with a 3.00 ERA or below and have a 3.13 ERA as a team. Haley Lemons leads the team with a .365 batting average while Jenna Emery leads with 12 RBI and Anna Hernandez has five home runs. Chandler Hall is 7-6 on the season with a 2.84 ERA to lead the pitching staff. Anne Marie Taylor is 4-4 with a 3.00 ERA for the Bobcats.
