Prior To TAMUCC:  Played at Palomar College in San Marcos, Calif. For coach Mark Eldridge...as a pitcher, posted a 0.81 ERA...hit .321 with a .834 slugging percentage, just seven strikeouts and 21 walks in 90 at-bats as a hitter...helped her team to a Pacific Coast Conference championship while twice being named Athlete of the Week and Pitcher of the Year in the conference.

High School:  Played at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, Calif. for coach Tracy Stowe...earned 2005 and 2006 team MVP awards while being part of a state runner-up team in the 2007 season...hit .321 with 10 stolen bases and led the conference with 24 hit-by-pitches during her senior season.

Personal:  Born Alex Hutchinson on May 9, 1989 in Oceanside, Calif....parents are Jan France and Allan Hutchinson...education major.
