WORTH – The No. 68 Texas A&M – Corpus Christi men’s tennis team lost a hard-fought 4-2 match against No. 51 TCU in hostile territory on Wednesday night, playing in front of nearly 400 fans at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center for the Horned Frogs home opener. The Islanders were down 4-2 when the match was stopped due to time constraints, with the two coaches agreeing before the match to stop after the first team reached four points and to finish any matches that were close to completion.
January 25, 2012 | Men's Tennis Meet Your Islanders: Men's Tennis' Andrew Maingot Senior Andrew Maingot is in his fourth season playing tennis for the Islanders. During his freshman year, Andrew redshirted for the season. In his sophomore year, Maingot played doubles with teammate Nathan Robinson in the final three Southland matches of the year, helping the team win a third-straight league title, and picked up a win in doubles against No. 58 Iowa alongside Robinson. He also won at No. 4 singles against Centenary for his only singles win of the year. Maingot teamed with Robert Raguz to beat Texas – Pan American 8-5 at No. 3 doubles during his junior season, avenging the only team loss from a year before.
