MEN'S TENNIS FACES SOUTHLAND RIVAL UTSA ON SENIOR DAY

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis team will play host to conference rival UTSA on Saturday in a 12 PM match at the Corpus Christi Country Club.

It will be senior day as the university honors senior Dmitry Novikov of Belarus. It will be the final home match of his career for the player with the most all-time wins in Islander history. He has amassed 77 career victories, 38 singles and 39 doubles matches, in his four-year career.

The Islanders are 8-13 on the season and 2-1 in Southland Conference matches. UTSA is 11-7 overall and 3-0 in Southland play.

TAMUCC comes into the match fresh off of a 4-1 win over UT Arlington to improve their record to 2-1 in the Southland. The Islanders won the doubles point and No. 3, 5 and 6 singles to bounce back from their first conference loss in over three years.

UTSA lost its most recent match against No. 12 Texas A&M by a 4-0 score to snap their seven-match win streak.

Admission to the match is free and fans are encouraged to come out and support the Islander men's team in their final home match of the season.
