The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis teams will be traveling to Louisiana for a two-city doubleheader against Centenary College and Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday.
The day starts in Shreveport, La. with both teams playing Centenary at 9 AM. Following those matches, the Islanders will load up and travel south to Lafayette, La. to take on ULL. The women's match is scheduled to start at 2 PM while the men's match is later in the evening at 7 PM.
The women sit at 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in Southland Conference matches. The men are 1-4 after playing four nationally-ranked opponents in their first five matches of the year.
Both teams will be coming off a break as the women have not played since Feb. 7 against Central Arkansas, a 5-1 win that gave them their first Southland Conference win of the season. The men were last in action on Feb. 1 at the ITA Indoor Nationals against Iowa. The Islanders lost a tough 4-2 match to the Hawkeyes in Waco.
The women will look to keep building on the momentum of their 4-2 start while the men look to bounce back from the past two losses and return to form with a pair of wins.
After the pair of matches, the men will play at Texas the next day on Feb. 20 before both men's and women's teams play Nicholls on Feb. 21 in Beaumont.
