Meet Your Islanders: Kevin Lynch, Men's Basketball

Kevin Lynch is a sophomore on the Texas A&M - Corpus Christi men's basketball team.  Due to an injury before the 2011-12 season he was forced to sit out the majority of the season. During his high school career, Lynch averaged 16 points and nine rebounds a game. Throughout his career at Rockport-Fulton High School he was an All-District selection and All-State recognition and helped lead his team to the playoffs.

Q: What do you like most about your coach?

A: Honesty, he's honest with us about everything what we are doing right and wrong. He's dedicated to getting us to be the best that we can be.

Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals?

A: I say a prayer before every game and listen to music.

Q: What do you do when you're not playing basketball?

A: I like to hang out with my teammates and friends, play basketball, video games and watch movies.

Q: What are your expectations for the season to come?

A: After overcoming my injury I just want to stay healthy. I'm looking forward to playing quite a bit and being able to contribute to the team's goal of winning games.

Q: If you could take a trip anywhere where would you go?

A: I would go to Lake Tahoe. I went when I was a little kid and would like to go again.

Q: How would your teammate's best describe you?

A: The funny guy that's always there.

Q: What would you say is your most memorable game?

A: The first game I got to play in since high school against Texas A&M. It was a big deal for me getting back on the court. It was a great feeling.
