Six Days Left to Buy Tickets for Islanders-Aggies

CORPUS CHRISTI -

With the showdown with Texas A&M at the American Bank Center now just six days away, ticket sales remain on the rise as college basketball fans hurry to get seats for the contest. A limited number of top-level tickets are still available for the game, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, at the American Bank Center. The game will represent the first time Texas A&M has visited Corpus Christi to take on the Islanders.

"Now that the Texas A&M game is less than a week away, we are starting to feel some urgency and excitement among Islander fans," Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Director of Athletics Tim Fitzpatrick said. "Both public sale and student ticket pick-up have accelerated this week, and we expect this trend to continue right up until game night. As I have mentioned before, this is a statement game - not only for our men's basketball program and our university, but also for Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend. We are truly looking forward to Monday night!"

Tickets can be purchased through the Islander Athletics ticket office (open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday), at the American Bank Center Box Office (10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday) or through Ticketmaster by clicking here. Tickets are $35 for Courtside Seating, $25 for Island Seating and $15 for Discounted Zones (Sections 201, 205, 206, 207, 209 and 217). The game will also be televised on Southland TV.

Students can also pick up their tickets from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of the University Center. Students must have a valid Sand Dollar ID card to pick up a ticket, and tickets will only be available until the student allotment is sold out.

The Islanders won their first exhibition game of the season, topping Texas A&M International on Saturday, and will face Incarnate Word tonight at 7 p.m. in the Dugan Wellness Center. The Aggies topped St. Mary's in their lone exhibition game this year.
