Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's head basketball coach Perry Clark has announced that senior guard LaMarr Drake has regained his eligibility and will rejoin the team beginning with Sunday's game at Kent State.
Drake appeared in and started 16 games at the point as a junior. He had 51 assists in that time and finished with a team-best 3.2 assists a game. Drake scored 6.6 points a contest scoring double-digit points on five occasions with 13 points twice.
"Having LaMarr break is huge for this team," said Clark. "He provides us with more leadership and more depth in the backcourt. With him back, Marcus (Hammonds) doesn't have to play point and can move back to the wing where he is more suited.
"Plus, LaMarr is excited about the chance to get back on the court and focused about playing again."
