A&M-Corpus Christi enters the contest at 2-2 after a 77-55 victory over Texas-Pan American Thursday night at the American Bank Center. The win was the 100th home win in the program's history. Saturday's game is the second regular-season game for the Islanders in the Dugan. In the opening of the building last January, the Islanders handed UTSA an 80-66 defeat.

"The guys are very excited to play on campus in the Dugan," said Islander head coach Perry Clark. "They really enjoyed the atmosphere the facility provides. It really allows for the students and fans to get into the game. It was a tremendous atmosphere last year."

Three Islanders scored in double figures led by Kevin Palmer's 17. Palmer also added five steals and five assists. Horace Bond had a career-best 15 points, while Justin Reynolds had a season-best 12 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.

The Hilltoppers come into the contest 0-2 on the year with losses to Texas A&M-Commerce (73-60) and Midwestern State (76-61). Jeff Miner and Reggie Shanks, who used to play at Nicholls lead the Hilltoppers. Miner averages a team-best 15.5 points a game and is tied for the lead with six rebounds. Shanks is contributing 15.0 ppg.

A&M-Corpus Christi closes out its three-game homestand on Wednesday night at the American Bank Center. The Islanders will host Texas A&M International at 7 p.m.
