The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball team returns home to Stripes Court and the American Bank Center Wednesday night when the Islanders host St. Edward's at 7 p.m.

The Islanders enter the game with a 3-3 record after a pair of wins over the Thanksgiving break in the South Padre Invitational. The Islanders opened with a 73-63 win over Jackson State before racing past UNC-Wilmington in the second game.

St. Edward's enters the game at 4-1. Taylor Mullenax leads the Hilltoppers with 18.0 points per game in just under 22 minutes of action per game. Reggie Shanks is second with 14.6 points in 20.2 minutes.

Kevin Palmer leads the Islanders in scoring with nearly 14 points a game and was named the Southland Conference Player of the Week after scoring 20 points against Jackson State and 22 against the Seahawks last week. He also averaged 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists.

As a team, the Islanders scored 170 points in the two games after scoring just 144 in its three prior games. The 97 points against UNCW are the most under head coach Perry Clark. Four Islanders scored at least 14 points against the Seahawks. Demond Watt and Tim Green each tallied 15 and Jawan Nelson added 14.

In celebration of its 125th anniversary, the Caller-Times is offering tickets to the game for $1.25. Tickets must be purchased at the American Bank Center.
