TYLER JUNIOR COLLEGE: Weiss was a two year starter for head coach Doug Wren at Tyler Junior College….the Apaches went 47-14 in 2010 were NJCAA District C Tournament Champions and NJCAA World Series Runner Up as he batted .401 with 49 runs batted in and 19 stolen bases…he batted .308 in the NJCAA World Series and tied the tournament record for triples in the series...they went 38-12 in 2011 and were NJCAA District C Tournament Runner Up as he batted .402 with 24 runs batted in and 16 stolen bases…invited and played in the NJCAA Texas-New Mexico All Star – Region XIV game at Baylor University……named a 2011 NJCAA 1st Team All American, nominated/finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, named to the NJCAA Region XIV Athletic Conference All Academic Team, and graduated Cum Laude with an Associates of Arts degree
HIGH SCHOOL: Weiss was a two year starter for head coach Michael McCollum at Cypress Creek High School….the Cougars were 17-5A Bi-District Champions of Region III in 2008 and 15-5A Bi-District Finalists of Region II in 2009…named Honorable Mention All-District in 2008 and 1st Team All-District in 2009…named as an alternate to the Houston Area Baseball Coaches Association 5A Northwest All Star Team in 2009
