CORPUS CHRISTI – The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi baseball team had its Friday night game against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks postponed until Saturday, April 21, when it will be made up as part of a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m.
Due to the high winds in the area, the tarp on Chapman Field was partially blown off the covered area and saturated the first and second base areas of the dirt infield. Due to the heavy rains, the Islanders decided to push the start of the doubleheader to a 4 p.m. first pitch to give the field extra time to dry out.
Both games are scheduled to be played to completion on Saturday, with the second starting about 30 minutes after the end of the first game.
