2011 (FRESHMAN):  

Had a strong freshman season, making 24 appearances out of the pen … posted a 2-1 record with a 5.40 ERA … surrendered just 18 hits in 20 innings, a .254 batting average against … made Islanders debut vs. MVSU (2/19) … had a scoreless outing against Indiana (2/25) … posted a shutout frame in the opener with Texas State (3/4) … punched out one in 2/3 of an inning at Texas Tech (3/15) … had two strikeouts against Houston Baptist (3/29) … had a hitless inning in the home game vs. Texas (4/5) … retired all four batters he faced at Lamar (4/9) … retired the only batter he faced at UTA (5/8) … collected the win out of the pen with 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball against Northwestern State (5/13) … tossed a perfect frame at SHSU (5/20) … picked up the win in relief with a scoreless frame at the Southland Tournament against UTSA (5/26).

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned two letters at Georgetown under head coach Danny Wallace … earned his team’s Golden Arm Award … went 2-0 with a 3.09 ERA … struck out 20 batters in 31 2/3 innings … also registered two saves … helped team to two district championships.

PERSONAL: Tanner Green was born on Aug. 12, 1992, in Austin, Texas … son of Donnay and Dee Green … has two brothers, Tate and Trevis … is undecided as to his major.
