Islanders, starting five … tied for team lead with three wins … second on the
pitching staff in appearances … finished season with a 3-5 record and 8.17 ERA
… punched out three in three shutout innings against Prairie View (2/21) …
tossed two shutout frames against Nicholls (3/20) to earn a win … struck out
seven in 3 2/3 frames against McNeese State (3/26) … got the victory with three
scoreless innings against Texas – Pan American (3/30) … pitched for the Eau
Claire (Wis.) Express of the Northwoods League over the summer, where he also
made the all-star team … helped lead the Express to the postseason with a 7-1
record and a 1.36 ERA.
