As the summer on the diamond continues for members of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team, several continue to shine in the sun.

In the California Collegiate League, a pair of rising Islander seniors have been selected to the all-star team to represent the San Louis Obispo Rattlers. Pitcher Marc Damon, who is 1-2 on the year, is tied for second in the league with five saves and has 27 strikeouts in 15 innings. He will be joined by Bobby Buckner, who has appeared in 19 games.

Others will likely figure into the all-star game mix in their respective leagues.

He ranks third in the CPL in RBI and sixth in batted average. Hernandez's eight doubles lead the team and he is tied for second with three home runs.

Roman Madrid represented the Victoria Generals in the Texas Collegiate League All-Star Game earlier this month. He is currently tied for second in the league with three runs and tied for sixth with two saves. Madrid's teammate, Jeramie Marek, is fourth on the Generals with a .309 batting average.
