BASEBALL SIGNEE DRAFTED BY INDIANS IN MLB ENTRY DRAFT
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi fall signee Roman Madrid was drafted Wednesday by the Cleveland Indians as catcher on the second day of the Major League Baseball Draft.
Madrid was selected in the 44th round with 1,325 pick of the two-day affair. He played third and pitcher as a senior after catching as a junior. Madrid recently concluded his career at Victoria Memorial High School tossing a pair of no-hitters.
