Lazenby Announces Senior Staff Promotions

CORPUS CHRISTI – Director of Athletics Scott Lazenby has announced two promotions within the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics’ senior staff. Jason Hall has been promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Administation, while Matt Brady has been elevated to Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations.

“I’m proud to announce the promotions of Jason and Matt within our athletics department,” Lazenby said. “Both of them are valued members of our senior staff, and have made outstanding gains in their respective areas since they arrived at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Islanders Athletics is lucky to have them in our department and I look forward to their continued growth in their positions.”

Hall began his tenure at the Island University in October 2011 and was promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Administration in May 2012. In his time at the university, he has improved the efficiency in the department’s operations, team travel and chaired the women’s basketball coaching search that led to the hiring of Royce Chadwick. Hall has also worked closely with Lazenby to bring stability to the Islanders Athletics staff.

He came to the Islanders after serving as Associate AD for Compliance and Student Services at Armstrong Atlantic State in Savannah, Ga., and has worked in compliance at Eastern Illinois, Syracuse, Florida State and Florida A&M. He has also worked at Belmont University, his alma mater, where he directed the university’s sport administration master’s program.

Brady came to A&M-Corpus Christi in November 2010 as the Director of Media Relations. In his time at the Island University, he has revamped the athletics website,, upgraded the department’s video production with the formation of the Islanders Broadcast Crew and built the Islanders’ social media platform from scratch.

Prior to coming to the Island University, he served as assistant director of media relations at Indiana University, where he worked with the Hoosiers’ baseball and football teams. He has also had stints at Northeastern University, Amherst College and Eastern New Mexico University.
