They also served as co-chairs of the faculty/staff branch of the Momentum Capital Campaign. Kathy is a clinical assistant professor in TAMUCC’s College of Nursing. Kathy and Don are avid sports fans, having been season ticket holders of the Houston Oilers, New Orleans Saints, LSU Football, LSU Basketball (men’s and women’s), LSU Baseball, and Islanders Men’s Basketball.

Don played several sports in high school and in college. For several years, he was a volunteer assistant basketball coach in Louisiana for middle and high school boys’ teams. He has also been a volunteer walking scorer in PGA events for many years. Their son, Scott, is an LSU graduate and was a member of the LSU Men’s Basketball Team and a Louisiana state high school all-star.  Both Kathy and Don view athletics as an important part of the college experience for all students, staff, faculty, and alums.
