2007 Cross Country: Earned All-America honors for the second time in cross country by placing seventh at the NCAA Championship in a time of 31:23...won every race he ran en route to national meet...repeated as NCAA South Central Region champion with a time of 29:16...became the first Southland Conference runner to repeat as the champion in 26 years after winning by eight seconds in 24:05...also named Southland Student-Athlete of the Year for the second time...led Islanders to team victories at the Rice Invitational (9/15) and Islander Splash (9/28) by claiming the individual title in each.
2007 Indoor Track: Placed second in the 3,000-meter run at the Southland Conference meet with a time of 8:17.70...had a personal best of 8:17.16 in the 3,000 at the Houston Indoor Invitational.
2007 Outdoor Track: Became the first National Champion in school history when he won the 10,000-meter run in 28:55.83 (6/7)...Southland Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in track...set a school and Southland Conference records in the 10,000 with a time of 28:16.47 at the Mt. SAC Relays (4/6) and the 5,000 at the Stanford Invitational (3/31) with a time of 13:46.30...fourth at the NCAA Midwest Regional (5/25) in 14:04.96 to qualify for the national meet in the event...won the SLC title in the 1,500 with a time of 3:49.67.
2006 Cross Country: Led the Islanders in each race en route to earning All-America honors with a 19th-place finish at the NCAA Championship (11/20) with a time of 31:23...named the Southland Conference Runner of the Year after claiming the league crown...won the conference title in 24:20...earned all-region honors with a first-place finish at the South Central Regional with a time of 29:40...also claimed individual crowns at the Rice Invitational and Islander Splash earning runner of the week honors each time...2006 Indoor Track: Did not compete.
2006 Outdoor Track: Became the first All-American in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi history when he placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Championship (6/9) in 14:20.81...reached the 5,000 final by winning his heat in the semis (13:55.32)...won the 5,000 at the South Central Region (5/28) in 14:19.75...won four races in the 5,000 during the season...qualified for the regional meet in the 1,500 with school-record time of 3:46.24 at the Texas Relays (4/5) but did not compete in event at the regional...won the 10,000 at the Mt. SAC Relays (4/13) in 29:42.53.
2005 Cross Country: Top finisher for the Islanders in their first four races before suffering an injury...won first three collegiate races...teamed with Kyle Flowers to win the UTSA Trinagular Relay (9/2) to open the season...won the Rice Invitational (9/17) with a time of 16:52 and the Islander Splash (9/30) with a time of 25:33... was seventh in Blue race at the prestigious Pre-National Meet (23:55.
2005 Indoor Track: Recorded a school best in the 1-mile run in his only indoor performance with a time of 4:11.78 bettering the previous mark by 10 seconds.
2005 Outdoor Track: First Islander in any sport to reach the finals of an NCAA Championship (6/11) event finishing ninth in the 5,000 with a time of 13:54.63...qualified for the regional meet by winning the 5,000 at the Bayou Classic (4/2) at Rice stopping the clock in 14:02.44...fourth in the NCAA Regional (5/27)...advanced to the finals with a time of 14:32.60 to finish fourth in his heat at the NCAA Championship.
In High School: Attended Maji Mazuri High School for coach Charles Kariuki...held the school record in both the 10,000 (30:23.15) and the 5,000 (14:48.78)...team finished third in the district in 2002.
