Along with starting a new intercollegiate athletic program from ground zero, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi began building its athletic training program during the 1999-2000 campaign to help care for the student-athlete. Islander athletes receive the very best care in the prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries from Islander Athletic Training Staff and Team Physicians. The facility includes state of the art equipment, staff offices and a physician's exam room. The athletic training staff is joined by a host of undergraduate athletic training students who are enrolled in the Athletic Training Education Program at the University.
